Welcome to Wonderland!

Welcome, curious travellers, to Wonderland! We are absolutely delighted to have you as our guest. We hope our little corner of Berwick-upon-Tweed will provide a magical and comfortable base for your adventures. This House   Manual contains all the information you need for a smooth and enjoyable stay, from how things work in the house to the best places to explore in the area.

House Rules

To ensure a pleasant stay for all guests and our neighbours, we kindly ask you to observe the following rules:

  • No smoking or vaping inside the property.
  • Please be mindful of noise, especially after 10:00 PM.
  • If you bring a pet, please ensure they are not left unattended and clean up after them.
  • Please be respectful of our neighbours.
  • No unregistered guests allowed
  • Please don’t eat or drink in the bedroom or the hot tub
  • Please turn off the lights when you go out
  • Please respect check-in and check-out times
  • Please take care of the furnishings
  • Please don’t rearrange the furniture
  • No illegal substances allowed on the premises
  • No parties  allowed

Hot Tub Rules

To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all guests, please adhere to the following rules as part of our terms and conditions. If these rules are not followed, the water quality may be affected, which is the sole responsibility of the guests.

Safety & Usage

  • Children must be supervised at all times.
  • Limit sessions to 15-20 minutes at a time.
  • If you feel dizzy, exit the hot tub immediately.
  • Close the hot tub cover after each use to maintain heat and cleanliness.
  • Shower before use to keep the water clean.
  • No soaps or scented oils in the water.
  • No food or drinks inside the hot tub.
  • No glass in or around the hot tub.
  • Wear a towel at all times when outside the hot tub.

Water Maintenance for Long Stays

To ensure the water remains clean for longer stays (3+ days), we kindly ask guests to check the water with the stick provided to the guests and adjust the water chemicals level if needed (20-30 grams of chlorine) and then check the chemicals level with the provided sticker again. If you require assistance with adding chlorine, we can arrange for the hot tub maintenance team to visit. Please let us know what suits you best.

Reporting Issues

If the water colour or smell is suspicious, please DO NOT use it and report to us straight away!

Amenities at a Glance

Here is a simple list of the amenities available for your use:

  • Bathroom & Laundry: Bath, hot water, washing machine, dryer, cleaning products.
  • Bedrooms: All beds have cotton linens, with extra pillows and blankets available. Room-darkening blinds are in place.
  • Family-Friendly: Travel cot, high chair, books, toys, and games available.
  • Kitchen: A fully-equipped kitchen with a fridge, freezer, dishwasher, induction cooker, microwave, Nespresso machine, kettle, and toaster.
  • Entertainment: A TV with Netflix, Disney, etc
  • Outdoor: A private back garden with a Hot tub and outdoor seating. Garden with  dining  table (pillows in the laundry)
  • Parking: Free parking is available for one car next to the dark grey fence and lots of free parking along the Killn Hill and Main Streets. 
  • Safety: Smoke alarms, carbon monoxide alarms, a fire extinguisher and blanket, and a first aid kit. For your peace of mind, there are exterior security cameras focused on the parking area.

    Emergency Information

    • Emergency Services: In case of fire, police, or medical emergency, dial 999.
    • Non-Emergency Police: Dial 101.
    • Local Hospital: Berwick Infirmary,  Infirmary Square, Berwick-upon-Tweed TD15 1LT, 0344 811 8111
    • First Aid Kit: A first aid kit is located in the kitchen cupboard above the extractor fan.
    • Fire Safety: The fire extinguisher and the blanket are located in the kitchen beneath the sink, and the other is next to the fireplace in the ground-floor lounge. The smoke, heat and carbon monoxide alarms are in all relevant areas. Please familiarise yourself with the escape routes.

    Check-out Instructions

    • Lower the temperature to 15°C using the control panel in the laundry.
    • Please extinguish all lights before leaving.
    • Kindly wash or load the dishes into the dishwasher.
    • Ensure all doors and windows are locked before your departure.
    • Take out all rubbish to the bins
    • Please leave the keys back in the key box and scramble the code.
    • We hope you had a truly magical stay!
